Collection: Commissions

Commissioning a painting with Tracy McMicking should be an exciting, collaborative and confident process. I enjoy working with collectors to create the unique image that delights their eyes and brings beauty to their special space. I am confident that with good communication, regular progress updates and requests for feedback throughout the process you will love the painting you commissioned! If not, you are under no obligation to complete the sale and I will return your deposit, no questions asked.

How the process goes:

-you determine the shape and size of painting you want for your space.

-next we move to subject matter, you can request a re-creation of a previous work of mine, you can provide reference photographs of the floral subject, seascape or landscape you want, or for an abstract, we can discuss together what you are looking for based works I have already completed.

-pricing is based on size and complexity and agreed upon with you before any work is started

Once we agree to move forward, a 50% deposit is collected, and the painting will begin!

I will send you regular process photos, at which point you can request changes. Once the painting is finished, you will get final sign off and the balance owing will be due (tax and shipping fee if outside of Canada will be added).

Your painting will be on it’s way! Plan for 3 – 4 weeks in total from the time the painting is started.

Note:

If you would like me to source floral or sea/landscape photos, I can do that for an additional fee.

Photographs supplied by you must be either taken by you or sourced/purchased/licenced from the photographer with appropriate compensation to them.

For florals or sea/landscapes photos provided by you, I will examine them to determine if it is a good candidate for a painting in terms of composition etc. Unfortunately, not every photograph translates to a good painting.
